You couldn’t sum up the seventh Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week more aptly than with the words of designer Philip Treacy: this fashion event brings together icons from fashion, film and design in the capital city and creates images for eternity out of them.
The key visuals that emerged from the combined talents of Treacy, Aldridge and Milla Jovovich remain unforgettable. And from Berlin it is sent out to the whole world.
But the campaign motif is certainly not the only thing that will be remembered from the international fashion scene of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. The press reported in detail on all the events which took place between July 7 and 10, 2010 at the Bebelplatz.
The glamorous to provocative collections of fashion makers such as Lena Hoshek, Anja Gockel or Patrick Mohr were not the only things which caused a sensation, but also the appearances of celebratory guests such as Boris Becker or Vitali Klitschko.
This once again confirms that the stars and designers also live from the power of their charisma. It is this extraordinary presence that creates modern icons. Their uniqueness is what turns people into images.
