Beaming smiles after a brilliant kick-off: As every year, Mercedes-Benz and VOGUE put on the Fashion Night in Borchardt restaurant – to celebrate the triumphant start to the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin A/W 2012 in style, together with fashion-scene goers and V.I.P.s. Needless to say, the fashion fans came in droves: Top-model Karolína Kurková and acclaimed actor Matthias Schweighöfer met up with the industry’s stars, including Guido Maria Kretschmer and Michael Michalsky. Photo and movie artist Alex Prager also mingled with the crowd, together with Berlin’s current mayor Klaus Wowereit, who enjoyed entertaining conversations with the guests. The economic situation and its influence on the fashion industry was just one of many discussion topics – but, as always, the fashion was the true center of attention.
