Burce Bekrek (Istanbul Next)
As one of Turkey’s most promising up-and-coming designers Burce Bekrek has developed her own unique signature within the last two years: her minimalist designs in the finest fabrics guarantee a perfect fit and outstanding wearability. Burce Bekrek does not want to disguise women but wants to offer the modern lady a choice of cool items, which she can use to enhance her existing wardrobe.
Günseli Türkay (Istanbul Next)
Art meets fashion: up-and-coming designer Günseli Türkay expresses her love for modern art and painting in all her designs. Prints that she has designed herself adorn her fashion, which ranges from wearable day outfits to extravagant evening wear. Graphic design, Ottoman art and Pop Art are just some of Türkay’s sources of inspiration. When designing her collections she sometimes works with Turkish artists with whom she develops digital prints for her silks and prepares shows and shoots.
Zeynep Erdogan (Istanbul Next)
The collections of this up-and-coming Istanbul-born designer represent an exciting blend of irony and formality: her “street couture style” combines a classical look with stylish retro inspirations. Erdogan uses elements of evening wear and skillfully transforms these into everyday outfits: a suit pants in sparkling sequined material paired with a simple cut-out blouse can be worn effortlessly 24/7. Vintage and retro designs are the most important source of inspiration for Erdogan’s designs.
