United in dark Romanticism: designer duo Aidin Sanati and Moa Wikman got to know one another in a design studio in London. The French-born Persian and the Swede quickly noticed their shared love for darkness and philosophical depth, leading them to set up their label “Ubi sunt”, Latin for “Where are they”? – a set phrase used at the beginning of medieval poems dealing with the transience of life. Accordingly, their fashion reflects all imaginable nuances of black – united in different materialities to form fascinating works of art.
